Five major scientific inaccuracies in Jurassic Park

5. Poor Mosasaur!

Mosasaurus Hoffmani is kept in a huge, deep tank in Jurassic World, where tourists can also go underground to see, but actually, it was a shallow water creature

4. The Dilophosaurus

The cute little “spitter”, the Dilophosaurus, is portrayed as little, with a huge frill like the frilled lizard, and it can spit blinding venom. In reality, it was pretty big, being 6 feet tall and 20 feet long. It didn’t have a neck frill and there are no signs it can spit venom.

3. The oversized poo...

The giant pile of Triceratops poo that Ian Malcolm and Ellie Sattler investigate is about the size of the dinosaur. One animal cannot produce a piece of poo that large, as its gut wouldn’t fill up more than its body size

2. The Tyrannosaurus Rex

The popular T.Rex car chase scene has a T.Rex running after a Jurassic Park jeep, and a study has shown that a T.Rex can run only 17 mph, which is very slow for a car. A regular person would go the full speed if they are trying to get away from a huge animal who has the strongest bite force in history, and if a T.Rex ran that fast, its legs would break.

1. The Velociraptors

The Velociraptors in Jurassic Park have no feathers on them, and real Velociraptors did. Also, Velociraptors were as big as turkeys, and the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park are big as a person.
