Buying a fish tank and other materials

On May 30th, I bought a 10 gallon fish tank, as well as some materials. The fish tank was a 10 gallon Lifegard fish tank, with a built-in back filter.

The materials were a heater, water conditioners, aquarium bacteria, sand, fish nets, and test kits.

The day after that on Monday, I did a nitrate test and an ammonia test. For the nitrate test, you have to get 5 milliliters of water from your tank, and then add 10 drops of both test solutions 1 and 2. After, you have to shake and wait 5 minutes. Then the water will change color, yellow being 0 nitrate, light orange being 5, middle orange being 10, dark orange being 20, light red being 40, dark red being 80, and magentaish red being 160. Anything that is 40 or lower is good, and my test turned yellow, which is 0 nitrate.

For the ammonia test, you need to get 5 milliliters of water again, and then put 8 drops of both test solutions 1 and 2. Then, you have to shake and then wait 5 minutes, just like the nitrate test. Yellow is 0 ammonia, really light green is 0.25, light green is 0.5, a little darker green is 1, regular green is 2, dark green is 4, and really dark green is 8. I got a light green, which is bad, since anything higher than zero can kill fish. Luckily, I don't have any fish yet, so I put some Aquarium Bacteria in the tank, which naturally removes ammonia and nitrite. On Wednesday, the ammonia turned to 0! We went to buy some fish the next day on Saturday, June 5th.
